How To Avoid Feeling Burnout

Do you ever feel like you're drained? Do you ever feel like just giving up on your brand? You my friend, are feeling burnout. Don't worry, it's completely normal, and something we all struggle with as #girlbosses. Mental, emotional, and physical exhaustion is usually caused by excessive stress. What are you stressed about? Maybe you feel like you're not putting enough time or effort into your brand? Or maybe you're in a creative slump? Well, today I'm going to give you tips on how to stop feeling burnout and lower stress levels too!

-Take A Step Back

One of the most common reasons of feeling burnout is caused by overworking. I know, it can be hard as a creative entrepreneur to stop working, because if you're not working you don't get paid. But sometimes, all you need is a break. Leave your work at home, turn off your cellphone, and go on a mini road trip with friends. Or check out a local coffee shop. Or maybe go on a vacation. Do something that will get your mind off of work for a day, or a few days, or maybe even a week. And when you return, you'll be feeling refreshed, creative, and ready to work again.

-Get Organized

If you're feeling burnout because of all the work you have to do, it might be a good time to organize how you work. Schedule some time to organize your work life and get a system going. And if this is something that you feel like you can't do on your own (which is totally ok!), maybe look into hiring an assistant to help you throughout the day. This is something that will not only help you save time, but also your sanity!

-Take Care Of Yourself

Another reason that you could be feeling burnout, is because you're not taking care of yourself. Make sure you're getting plenty of sleep, drinking plenty of water, eating healthy foods, and working out. Pamper yourself! Get a mani/pedi, facial, or massage. Or maybe just make it a spa day and get all three done! You'll be feeling de-stressed and ready to focus on work again.

-Don't Be Afraid To Say No

This kind of goes back to overworking yourself. As #girlbosses and creative entrepreneurs, you are going to receive some amazing opportunities. Whether it's an awesome project such as, writing an article/book, designing a company logo, etc. You don't have to accept every project handed to you. It's ok to say 'no.' It's ok to skip going to that event. For the longest time, I would accept every project that was handed my way, and while it was fun, I really felt stressed out. I had so many deadlines that I had to meet. Now, I'm not afraid to turn down a project. I know how much work I can handle, and I know what content I want my name on. Decide what's most important to you, and make that your number one priority.
